Aftering leaving CA, we drove all the way through Oregon. I loved Ashland. Anna likes Salem (state capital). We stayed just outside of Portland and visited Vancouver WA the next day. Without a guide, it's kind of hard to know which direction to turn but it didn't grab either of us right away.

We traveled up to Olympia which I kind of like (state capital, artesian wells, lots of water in every direction, stunning views of Mt. Rainer, place where Kurt Cobain wrote Nevermind!).
We took a quick look at Evergreen College- very small, super green and interesting school. For the fun of it, stopped in to an open house. The housing prices are similar to Flagstaff.
After all that looking and driving we headed west through Aberdeen (birthplace of Kurt Cobain- lots of Nirvana energy around this state!) and on to Ocean Shores- a funky beachside town. There are tsunami evacuation route signs all over and instructions in the hotel rooms what do in the event of an earthwake/tsunami. Kind of weird but very nice to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. And put on a sweater for the first time in months.
Yesterday we drove up the Olympic Pennisula to Bainbridge Island where we are visiting our great friends. Seeing Barney and Mishabae have been highlights of the vacation. Sure, there are lots of great places to see, but nothing compares to spending time with old friends. mmmmmmwwaaaaahhhhh!!!! xoxoxox!!!

Today, Mishabae and I went to a dye house in Seattle to pick colors for her yoga t-shirt line that she is launching very soon. It is a fabulous concept and will be very successful. Watch for her Pure Rasa items! We took a quick trip through West Seattle, which I REALLY like, Vashon Island (a 20 minute ferry ride from W. Seattle) and back to Bainbridge Island. The ferry gods were with us today... we drove right on the ferries, magically arriving at precisely the right time to sail, without even trying. It's great to be on vacation!
Missing you all!
